What does Eileen Hartnett Albillar believe is at stake in this election for Bucks County?
A lot. More than people might realize when they think about a state senate race. This race is about something very specific: whether Bucks County finally gets a senator who shows up and fights. The current incumbent senator has been in elected office since 2009. After nearly two decades, SEPTA is still in crisis, costs are still rising, and families are still struggling. That's not acceptable.
Beyond that, the Pennsylvania State Senate is closely divided. Democrats need to flip just a few seats to take the majority — and this district is one of the seats that can make that happen. What that means in practical terms:
If Democrats take the majority, the agenda in Harrisburg shifts. Bills that have been sitting in committee for years — on school funding, on healthcare, on housing — start moving.
Right now, under Republican leadership in the Senate, a lot of what the governor and the House pass just goes nowhere.
Flipping the Senate changes what's possible for the entire Commonwealth, not just this district.
Eileen Hartnett Albillar is running because Bucks County deserves better. And she thinks 2026 is the year the district can get it.
